measure how much extra length your arbor has out past the nut. Your dado set can not be thicker than this value.
Assuming it fits on your arbor, it also may cut a wider hole in your throat plate. Be careful when you do this.

Yep, it'll fit fine, no worries as long as the arbor size is correct (which it likely is, both being 5/8").
