(Vintage) TACL screwdrivers and screws/bolts

Anyone who knows more about these TACL screwdrivers and screws used in French cars in the seventies? They are mentioned in my Facom F73 (page 180) and in my NL78 (page 218) catalogues. In F87 cat, they are gone.
And, what means TACL? For 43 years I have the 4 screwdrivers Facom made (in France) their partnumbers are AL 1; AL 2; AL 3 and AL 4. Any information is welcome. They were used by Peugeot,Citroën and Renault in the seventies and disappeared silently.........

I know of them.

They look like a deep slot with closed ends, and a hole in the centre.

I remember seeing them on French cars of that era. I was still working on these much later on.

They are actually quite good, as the driver goes deeper into the screw than normal, and cannot slip out due to the enclosed ends.

I have seen them on French military vehicles too - an armoured car if I recall. But the thing was so perverse (no inspection panels and you had to drop the engine to get to the spark plugs) that the weird screws were the least of my problems!

Here is possibly the Israeli patent, previously filed in France it appears. The patent refers to a LAUNAY-CHAMPION TACL screw, if that helps anyone. Reverse the names, you get the last two letters of your acronym. Think in French, what might TA stand for in French, beats me.

The LAUNAY leads to this patent, which does not reference TACL

Here is another thread with pictures for this who care, looks like gany started that too.

Looks kinda like a clutch head, but not really.

Gotta run and walk the dogs, might turn up more later.
