There been in 25 yrs, no shrink, no solder, been pressure washer hundreds of times, still work and connectors brite, could use the wire nuts again.

I am sure the wire inside that wire nut is not green or hell probably black at all. Just because it still works doesnt make it the right way to do it. I would say you are really lucky it still works.

Probably closer to 20 then. I was trying to get the pics thru my phone and wanted one with the caps removed.

I personally coat my connectors with axle grease. A friend uses permatex silicon.
