Well after using Griots in our last garage I am finally ready to do it again, only this time it's much bigger. Although I was happy with Griots garage paint, I wanted something thicker so that I can cover imperfections in the cement without a ton of prep.

I heard about Budget Bob from this forum so I figure why not? It's kinda scary looking at what you are going to get but as my wife says, I like to waste money sometimes. The nice thing about Budget Bob is the thickness. I will probably do a 4 mil primer/clear, then 8 mill color then chips and finish with another 4 mill clear. 16mill of floor covering should cover a lot of rough concrete and cracks. I still haven't decided on the primer part yet but maybe. Here is his website. http://www.budgetbob.50megs.com/ANY2004A/FORESALENOW.htm

I am going with a tan color and some chips that I got from another member here. I'll keep you folks posted.

Yeah the web design is interesting, but it does get the point across. Bob and I have been discussing if I should use a clear primer/topcoat as a first coat. He wants me to but I am not so sure. The price is really not much different than not using it since less quantity does not always equal less price when you are going from gallons to quarts.

If I use the primer I will end up with a 20 mil three layer product. Seems nice and thick.

Well I think maybe I spoke to soon. We've had a slight differance of opinion, and that's fine, but we have no heat relief in sight so there is no way I am going to do this in 90+ degree weather. Maybe I will have to wait until Sept.
