Ok, they are going to break ground on my 50x30 Friday.
I had the wiring guy over, yesterday. He is charging me $5 per foot to bury and run the 110 from the junction box into the garage. About 100-130 feet.
$200 for a breaker box that I believe he said would have 22 slots? Also he checked with our electrical co and they will supply a meter (just for the garage) for $8.50 per month. Same charge for kilawatts as the house at 8 cents, I believe is what they said?
Question- Will 110 be large enough to run 20 amp recepticals on? It sounded like he planned to set my 20 amp recepticals on their own breakers so we really do not need to run 220? Does that sound right? He is getting me a larger breaker box in order to run thing on their own breaker and not have a lot of things running on any single breaker in the box so that we can stay with 110. I do not have any plans for large lifts or major welders. Mainly just a table saw and normal average garage things.
