Tall lift choices

Garage is currently under construction. That is to say, the dirt has been moved around in an organized way thus far
While I wait for the inevitable finish I am trying to pick a lift with extra lift height.
Of course we have the BendPak XPR-10AXLS as a nice $4.3k option with all the possible pitfalls of BendPak support issues. Then we also have the lesser known Forward Lift with their DP10AN422BL extended height and not quite as nice arms model for around $3.7k.
Are these my only choices for extra height/two post/asymmetric lifts? And by extra height we can go off these two above, which seems to be around 75".

It appears neither of them offer one that's asymmetric

I'm very happy my xpr10axls and DAMN am I glad I bought when I did. I paid $3500 about 18 months ago.

Also, the posts don't always have to be mounted asymmetrically for a 2 post to be able to lift asymmetrically. Some 2 post manufacturers do it with asymmetrical or 3 stage arms. You might find more lifts that fit your criteria if you include those types.

That lift is only 70" lift height, the one linked to before that is extra tall doesn't offer asymmetric configuration.

Bend-Pak customer service is great - it's their packing materials and instructions that stink. I recall that they are changed their packing materials, so maybe things are better.

If you have the ceiling height, the Bend-Pak is a wonder to walk around under.

Oh, I'll have the height. 18 feet to the rafters. Just trying to avoid the cost really.

Haha, 1200sqft limit for detached structures in my city. Figured I could use at least some part of the floor space for a second story something.

Rotary only really offers the height I'm looking for with the Shockwave addition. That pushes the price of the basic 10k asymmetric 2 post lift to over 6k! Batteries not included (needs two big car batteries).

Not cheap. I have three lifts, two bendpak and a atlas. My brother has a extended height rotary. Better lift no batteries needed.... you get what you pay for.

Challenger LE10 looks promising. Around $3.5k with the options I want.

I dealt with Tony at Advantage lifts. We went to the Mecum auction here in Denver earlier this year and checked his 4 post lift in person. I liked the lift and Tony was great to work with. He allowed me to purchase it and the accessories at the show (small down payment) and delay pick-up/delivery (my choice) until my shop was completed.

Again, why do you need the extended height? To stack cars or are you that tall?
Most people 6’ have no problems wiTh standard lifts.... or are you just wanting the cross bar to be higher to clear tall vehicles?

Earlier he said he'd like to be able to stack cars due to limited floor space. I have 16' walls and the ceiling is around 21' directly above where my lift is installed. I'm only 5'7" but it still seemed a no brainer to get the tallest lift I could since it would easily fit in my shop.

Tallest friend I have is 6'3" and he's already got a bad back so it'd be nice for him to be able to work on his cars and not having to cause more stress on his fused discs by being able to stand up straight. So far I guess he'll have to just work in his bare feet or have to loose an inch But seriously, I think the 74-75" height should be fine.

Better man than me. If it lifts it tall enough for me to work I’m good, he can buy his own!

You can utilize the 18’ ceilings with standard lifting height, but extra tall collumn extensions for the crossbar...... but unless you work on box trucks, anything over 14’ is a waste

Not planning on using that full space for the lift. Other parts of the garage may have a second story area built in the future. The garage is more than I need anytime soon so I will be sharing the work space with friends who also like to work on their cars. We all learn from each other helping out.
