I'm planning to make a dump trailer for my garden tractors. I have a spare miniature 2200lb FarmTuff running gear and a dump box from a Land Pride Gando that I am planning to marry together. The box is originally rated at 1800lbs which technically works out.

But I am toying with the idea of converting the running gear to a tandem rear. I know that I can build a simple teeter totter that pivots on the existing axle but looking at most commercially available full-size tandems have more to the frame than just a simple pivot. I'm interested in seeing mechanism pictures if anyone happens to have one they could photograph or experience of anyone who has done this.

P.S. I'm sure that it won't work. I also know that I should just buy a dump trailer. I also know that Kory makes a mini tandem that I should buy instead. Don't feel like you need to tell me those things.

the flip flop is referred as a walking beam trailer . I think they might be better for an around the yard utility trailer , just because the wheels have more travel on bumpy terrain . ATV trailers are often that way I think.
to do a tandem axle I think you would need springs on each axle side for it to work properly.
