Tap and Die set

I was at my fathers house the other day and he gave me a tap and die set that he picked up at an auction a few days before.

The dies are round and do not have the flats on them like the ones i am used to seeing have

how do you use these? I am sure someone is more educated than I am.

I have some round ones that go into a holder with a round opening. A set screw goes from the holder into a dimple in the die to hold it in place.

There should be a screw that holds them into the turning tool.
