I would like to get another tape measure at least 16 feet and keep it in my pocket. I dont want to put it on my belt bc i would knock it off so it would need to be a thin one. What kind should i look/get? I want a good name brand one also. thanks

Not many 16' pocket tape measures that are worth their salt. I've a few 12' Lufkin pocket tapes scattered between the personal and work tools.

This is the only tape measure I use anymore (in several sizes). I keep a 16' in my truck door pocket, and one at each desk, as well as many in the shop. They're very affordable (as little as $5 on sale). I use them for all sorts of projects: wood, steel fab, indoors, outdoors, etc. I really like them because the tape stays out until you depress the release button, the scales have a good, readable graduation on them, they're relatively small and feel very intuitive, not clumsy or clunky. I think you'd like them too.

I don't like the armored ones especially to stick in my pocket. They seem too hard to get in and out. I like the Stanley Power lock, 12 footer, Metal case and clean edges to slide in easy. I remove the belt hook.
