Tape measures and ergonomics

I use a bunch of the tradition FatMax tapes. 25', don't need anything more. I keep them in each of my 4 work trucks and in each tool pouch. Haven't found anything better for me.

It's the other new one I'm not fond of. I hope they keep churning out the classic like yours.

I find the tape wants to roll when trying to reach out and hook on something vertical. The Fatmax tip just worked so well and had no problem doing this.

I used to go through a Fatmax about once a month and nothing else even came close. I have always said that a stainless steel Fatmax would be the perfect tape measure, but for some reason Stanley doesn't like that idea. The G2 is holding up well.

Hmmmmm, I haven’t seen any of those in the wild yet. That thing looks intriguing. I’d rock it and give it a shot if I could put hands on one.

I know what you mean about the G2 rolling over when you’re hanging it out there. I think it’s that oversized hook making the tip wobbly and susceptible to rollover and collapse. The FatMax seems to get away with this better.
