Is there a source for new Komelon blades? Not sure if you can get parts for them or if it's even worth it.
I can't see how replacing the blade would be worthwhile. The most expensive Komelon I could find was a 40 foot model for $27.

The 25 footers are all $18 or less.

My assorted Komelons have the fraction marks; not something I need, but they don't get in the way. Two of them also have that nifty feature where they stay where you put them, and retract when you press the button. I find this very handy once I get used to it.

I think a few folks mentioned this above, but I detest tapes (or tools in general) with a magnet; there's always something getting stuck on them. Even if you're just doing woodworking, they pick up nails, staples, screws, etc. at the most inconvenient moments.

And yeah, 1/32 marks on a tape measure are beyond clueless. Absolutely no one asked for that, but it pops up. If you need that kind of precision, you almost certainly have the correct measuring tools. And if you really think 1/32 marks might be useful on a measuring tape, then you certainly don't have the inhuman skills to make use of them.

My loaner tape is a 99 cent "Pittsburgh" from Harbor Freight. No, really, you can have it. Go right ahead, leave it under a bush or toss it into your truck...
