I got a set of Husky sockets from a friend who worked for Stanly about 10 years ago. They use to give their employees tools for either free or a greatly reduced cost.

I don't have a pic, but they are the tapered base 12pt SAE that look ALOT like the MAC version. Been looking at the MAC set on Ebay in the $80 to $100 range new, which seems like a steal.

Anyone have the Husky version in metric or 6pt version? The package said made in China, but he finish and quality just doesn't seem like anything made there.

Coincidentally, I have a Husky metric 6point set that's probably about 10yrs old. I don't believe the plastic socket holder package had a COO, (part of the plastic broke off and the label is mostly gone), nor did the sockets but I always thought they seemed like a good quality and with the exception of maybe the 15mm one that got used a lot more, they have held up great. Currently they are a part of a little tool kit of extras I am putting together for a buddy who doesn't really have much in the way of useful tools but wants to get into being a little more handy. if anything else, they will be there for when I go over to help with something. I forget what I paid for them, maybe around $30 or so?

Mine came with a metal holder just like the MAC. At the time he was able to get Husky and Proto, but oddly this set was just a basic Husky set, not the pro line. Are yours tapered base?
