I picked up the last 2 at the farmville va. store today.Took a printout from store 1060 and the manager said ok. Farmville had them on sale for 35.00. So I saved 10.00 each Heck of a hose reel for the money.Just ordered two up in Pa. for my boy to pick up for me.They are selling for 79.00. up thereThanks,BDBLK2K3

I picked up the last two at a store that said they had none when I called. Decided to to check for myself, and found 1 on the shelf, and looked around and found another way up on top of one of the shelves

SCORE! Task Force hose reel (#140418) out the door for $26.13 Thanks to the OP once more. Bought at Lynnwood, Wa. Lowe's at 2:00 pm today. Physically saw they had one more left on storage rack; these weren't even priced yet! Went straight to the CS desk and asked for MOD and a price match to Charlotte, NC store. North Seattle store had zip but checked computer and showed two at Lynnwood with a price of $79.00. Lynnwood clerk checked for price and showed it at $35.00, so they barely blinked when they gave me the lower price. Such a deal, it made my day. Thanks again for the heads-up!

Printed out the webpage and took it in. The customer service woman called what I presumed was the manager. He said he could only knock 10% of the $79 price. I wasn't rude and said, "no thanks". I went home and called corporate and let them call the store. 24 hours passed, no contact, so I called corp again. Another 6 hours have passed. I'm not expecting a call. I may venture out to a further Lowes tomorrow and try my luck.

Anyway, I emailed corporate and got a phone call within 8 hours from the district manager. He apologized profusely and gave me a 25.00 gift card for the inconvenience. Essentially, I got one of my reels for free!!! I love this site, thanks again to the OP.

I take it the clearance is over. I typed in store 1060 and the reel is showing the 79.99 price. Now that I am aware of this site, I'll be visiting more often!

I don't think it's over. You just have to look at multiple lowes stores until you find one that has the low price. You can keep hitting back on your browser and selecting a new store. For instance, I think there was only one store in MD i found that had the 23.99 price, it was Timonium MD.

Batz when you go to the lowes site click on find another store when the new page opens put 1060 into the blank and hit the button . When new page opens click on shop this store then on new page scroll down to tools and click on Airtools and Pneumatics . When the new page opens click on Air tool accesories it still shows $23.99 when I go there.

Picked up 2 at the Lincoln, NE store. No hassle at all, just showed them the printout and they over rode the scanned price .
Got them both installed last night, seem to be well made for what they cost.
The hose has some kind of waxy coating on them, after testing each one out my hands were coated with the china goo.

When you type in the 1060 store and hit enter, it goes to that store, but you need to scroll down slightly and look for the "shop this store" and click it, otherwise, it returns you to your original store when you click on the "tools" link. Took me a minute to figure out what was happening, too.

Don't feel bad. I called the corp phone number and requested a reel at the cheaper price. Never expected a call back, but surprisingly did get one about three hours later.
It was the store manager all bent out of shape. He came unglued at me on the phone, I did all I could not to lower myself to his standards. He finally agreed to "hold one" for me at that price, but only one. Gave him my personal info and I got yelled at one more time before he hung up on me. Another member here PM'd me about that store - I gave him my info, he went in to pick it up. Nothing on hold for me, but they sold him two cheaply, no questions asked...
I would have liked one, but the store is 15/20 miles each way, that manager was real confrontational about it, and the other GJ guy REALLY wanted one.
Guess I just added Lowe's to my "Do Not Use" list with AutoZone and Circuit City.
I missed out on the gladiator cabinet deal but luckily I just scored 3@ 23.99 ea. at the Tullahoma Tn store. I just gave them my printout and asked for a price match. The lady had a funny look but did not question it. Pulled one from the box and looked at it; no complaints here.
Alas, a happy ending. I just received a call from the MOD today and he was very kind. Said that the NC store was running a regional promotion, but, in an effort to keep my business said he'd match it for this one time item. He said I have it for you at the front desk at the 23.49 price. Way cool.
Now, obviously your choice, but, I just called corporate back and gave the manager a compliment. I didn't want to cause anybody problems, but, since he took care of me -- hopefully they get "brownie points" for customers calling in saying "thanks". I'd recommend doing it if you called to get the ball rolling!

Problem is, these reels are HEAVY, real HEAVY, (about 35 lbs and the box it comes in) and shipping has gone sky high, so you probably would not come out ahead at all.

Found one more at another store but MOD was a total B*tch. I kinda wanted to call a complaint to corp not because she wouldn't match my receipt, but because of her nasty attitude about it.
But whatever, that particular store is always disorganized and has terrible employees which is why I usually avoid that one anyway.
Dunno if it was mentioned in this thread earlier, but, my MOD that honored the price said "I don't see how they are doing this, our cost is $48.81."
I just took the thing out of the box. I've never used a fancy hose/reel, so, compared to my cheapy, orange, pvc, always kinking hose -- this is amazing. I almost feel guilty for only paying $26.... almost.

Around here they were on clearance and aren't anymore. Other stores don't sell them anymore. (non stock).The price last week was 41.99 at one store and 56 something at another and now both stores have new stickers and are 79.99. I think all the buying up of these items made corporate realize that they can still make money on them, cause they're certainly moving now. If you find them at clearance, buy them. I waited too long....

Just returned with my reel. They had 1 left at the Hillsborough, NJ store and I grabbed it. Regular price was $79.99. I stood at customer service for about 15 mins with the print out from the Holmdel store that showed it for $23.99. They apologized that it took them so long, but they could not believe the difference in price and had to call the Holmdel store.
Now I have to figure out how to mount this monster to the wall.

Kinda of a hassle, had to visit 3 diff stores. One had them listed at full price, 0 in stock.
Second store had one "on sale" at $41.98. Third store had 2 in stock at $23.99.
Second store absolutely refused to match any price from anywhere, period.
So I go to the third store and buy the 2 at $23.99 and ask about ordering more, was told that none were available anywhere but if they were they would have been happy to order/transfer them for me.
I nicely point out the one I know is in a store very close by, the lady tells me it will take 3-5 days to have it transfered (a whole 5 miles) I asked if I could just pay for it here and go pick it up.
She went and asked someone about it, came back and said, No Problem
Needless to say I damn near laughed at the extremely pissed off manager when I went to get it.
Wait it gets better.........I got the lowdown from the tool section dude (who hates the manager) that more are supposed to be coming in via truck sunday night. I may just go do the buy(at one store) and pick up(at another store) deal again, not that I need them but it would be fun.

got mine early this week, but found this morning that the leader hose was liberated from the package at some point. DOH!
Probably no sense in complaining, since they have no more at this store, and I pretty much stole it from them at $24. I was going to mount it to the ceiling anyway, so I would have needed a longer leader.
