I got this from my M-I-L's husband yesterday. He was a countryboy garage tinkerer when he was tinkering. His tools were typical "cost effective" but with some of note more so than others.

(top to bottom, left to right)...
* Thorsen 1/4 socket set (with all the loose sockets not shown I think I can fill it correctly)
* Snap On F-40 3/8 socket driver
* Duralast 3/8 ratchet plus extensions
* FWK enclosed "Ford" type adjustable wrench (had never seen one like this)
* Possible Bell System #1 Phillips
* Sears Japan 10" slip joints
* Crestaloy dikes
* Kraeuter dikes
* Champion de Arment/Channellock nutbusters 8"
* Proto 252 hose clamp pliers
* Compton electrician's scissors
* Not shown is an 8" Super-Ego Stillson-type pipe wrench

My son may get some or all of this haul including the boxes depending on what he wants. It also came with a Ryobi 18v One+ set that I gave to him already.

Not bad at all. Enjoy and nice of you to pass them along too.

I noticed at least one pair of dykes with duct tape for grips. I might recommend a can of plasti dip to help make them a little more comfortable and thicken the handle a bit.

A little clarification on the tools...

On top are pliers that I originally said were Sears Japan but are actually P & C (a subsidiary of Plomb), as is the well-worn #22 punch. Next down left are Blue Bird 25 battery pliers, right are Ceetee Co Crescent pliers. Next down left are Taiwan Fisherman's Choice pliers (since they have a beer bottle opener, they may become EDC!), right is the German FWK (F. W. Kessler) Ford-type wrench. Next down is the 8" Super-Ego (Spain) pipe wrench with the spring intact. I don't know how I keep collecting pipe wrenches, but I do, and these are pretty cool. Last, on the dollar, are some tiny no-name pliers.
