Anybody used Wild Trail Touring tires by a company called TBC ?
Local tire dealer has these and guarantees 50-55k miles.

Sounds like Chinese tires. I avoid them unless it's an absolute beater that isn't even going to last the life of the tire. Find out where it's made and by who, some offbrands are actually made by the majors and are ok.

While I was in town I ran in and asked some questions about the tires.
They were mistaken the tires are manufactured by Deestone International in Thailand. The dealer states they have been making tires for over 30 years. ISO90001:2000 accredited and DOT approved in the US.

I tried summitomo twice, the real cheap ones on our old subarus. They didn't last long at all, maybe 15k miles.

I have the Summitomo htrz on my Chevelle now and they seem to be doing ok.
