I have a friend that owns a auto repair shop and his Puma compressor started giving him trouble. He couldn't wait for parts(too busy) so he bought a new one and sold me the TE 7580 for $500.00. He just put a new 7.5 hp Leeson motor on it and gave over $600.00 for that.
So I think I bought it cheap enough.
Now to figure out what is wrong... Got three different versions from the mechanics.
1. blowing oil into the discharge line 2. blowing oil and smoke out the intake that is located on the crankcase. 3 blowing oil out the filters.

I have not got it wired up in my shop yet, that should happen tonight.

Version 3. is wrong filters are not oily, don't think version 1. is right.
Pretty sure blowing oil out the intake is correct.
Assuming the second version is right when I plug it in tonight, what do I look for? bad rings? bad valves? and which cylinder first? The two large low pressure cylinders or the high pressure cylinder.
Just trying to get a heads up...
