Hi Garage Journal,
I'm a long time lurker but first time poster. I have bought some lighting after reading this site for my garage and hope to do a post on it once everything arrives.
But for today, I have a question on propane regulators. I got a TEC Patio II from a friend. He had it hooked up to natural gas and lost the propane regulator. I intend to hook it up to standard 20lb propane tank.
TEC Patio 2 Manual PDF
TEC Propane Regulator
Lowes Propane Regulator
So the factory propane regulator would be $45 plus $15 shipping, plus I have to wait a week to ship.
If I go to Lowes, I can pick out a regulator for $20 to $30. I can't tell which one I need though. Also, assuming I get the right size regulator, will it work good enough?
I have a propane regulator from an old BBQ but it's a different size outlet than the TEC. I'm assuming that getting a metal fitting to convert the diameter would screw up the TEC, probably not getting it enough flow.
Thanks in advance for your help
