Thanks guys for the welcome. Drivesitfar, I'll do my best to help. I don't know everything but like to give a helping hand when people are in need. Cranium, I'm in the portland area. Hustle and bustle but I love it!

VT: if you have time to read and want to learn almost anything this is a great place. if you want to teach something too all the better.

i'm really hoping we are done with all the rain we've been getting or do you like the rain? i like the green and love the summers, but the rain and clouds do wear on me a bit at times.

cheers

Spent the Winter in AZ
Back on the OP for the Summer.

It's so wet and foggy over here today the entire North Korean Navy could be sailing through Admiralty Inlet and you couldn't see them...

Yea it took me awhile to get use to the rain with no sun. At least back in Wisconsin it would be cold but sunny out. Here the constant downcast kind of wears on you but that's the northwest!

VT: the summers are AMAZING so we (you'll) get used to the winter's rain and clouds.

have any questions about GJ so far or are you too busy to really do much searching and reading?

we've been talking about the STEAM UP weekends at the end of July and first weekend of August on the PNW thread in case you like the old vintage stuff. it's happening down in or near Salem and i've heard about it for a couple years now and hoping to finally make it down this year for it. looks like fun and there is a year round museum on site if you get down there before or if you can't make the festivities and make it down there next winter.

cheers and looks like maybe the sun is coming so crossing all fingers and toes up here.

PD: sounds like you might have came back up to the PNW a couple weeks early from the 80's and sunshine in the Arizona desert. :dunno:

Volvo: i haven't been to the GREAT OREGON STEAM UP yet myself, but i've heard many many good things about it from the vintage tool guys that live down near Salem.

here's the link to get you started and maybe we'll see each other there if we both are there and on the same weekends cause it looks like they run it on two different weekends.
