I was over at my mom's house cleaning out the garage. Up in the storage platform was, among other things, this lawn mower. Tis was bought when we first moved to Toronto in 1964. There are 2 blades turned by toothed belts. I remember my dad installing rebuild kits in this - new bushings on the blade shafts and new belts!

Oh Man that mower brings back memories . My grandparents had the same one. after my grandfather died in 1972 I was elected to help grandma with the yard work, it actually worked well. and I do remember my dad fixing the wobbling blades because the shaft bushings had worn. knowing hem, he made new at work rather than buying them . this one had 4 blades each about 4" long and 2 blades mounted to each of 2 hubs and would swivel back if you hit something solid .it was an olive drab green colour

A surprise find last weekend while rummaging through a tub of 3/8 drive sockets.

No case, no accessories but look at the almost complete of Whitworth sockets in the front row.

I have an old tecomaster branded snap on socket set with this style of ratchet in it.
I have a newer metric set with a ratchet thst looks more plain but has a rough grip that has been pictured several times in this thread also.

I needed (wanted) a temporary "road trip" box to keep stuff from my main box organized while I'm off fixing something. I found this on Kijiji yesterday. It was the guy's father's, bought sometime in the 60's. There's a little surface rust on the bottom especially inside, a couple of minor dings, has been left in a room uncovered while someone painted the ceiling, but otherwise is in fine shape.

Everything is still square and fits together the way it should. So often these old cantilever boxes are warped from being forced closed with tools in the way of the trays.

Here is my former 4 inch TecoMaster jointer. (Made by Beaver in Guelph, Ont). I donated it to the local Habitat. It had to leave the shop after I had replaced it with another Canadian made Beaver jointer, the new (to me) one a 6 inch.4 in Teco Jointer to Habitat.jpeg
