I like all my 90 tooth Tekton ratchets. I don't use 1/2" drive much so it hasn't got a lot of use. It's as smooth nas my LP90 SK or my Gearwrench with Matco 88 guts. I think Tekton ratchets are a very good mechanism but find the handles on the 1/4" drive a bit skinny. I believe Tekton ratchets are as good as anything at their price point.

I have to agree, I've found their 90 tooth models to be excellent for the price. And I happen to actually quite like the handles on the 1/4" models, which I use far more than any other sizes (but the vast majority of my work is quite low torque).

Tekton’s are my favorite ratchets. I don’t have the 1/2 drive yet but will be getting one in the future. I just don’t use 1/2” drive much. My 3/8 and 1/4 are excellent.

Of all my ratchets, unless I need to apply a lot of torque, I always grab my stubby 3/8 non-QR Tekton first.
Interesting. I ordered one of those a couple of years ago and returned it because I didn't like the way it felt in my hand.

I broke down and bought myself a 90 tooth Carlyle ratchet with the comfort grip. Lots more $$, but I could put my hands on it before purchasing and I already like my Carlyle 1/4, 3/8 and 3/8 roto-head ratchets.

+1 for Tekton 90T ratchets being my go-to, they have an excellent feel IMO. I did lube mine with a little 3-in-1, but they didn't have high back drag, this just made them even smoother. I have the non-QR and the head is very small and sleek, and sockets aren't that hard to take off.

Mine are non QR also. Back-drag is lite as said. I lubed the back of the main gear with a little super lube and then a shot of oil or two on the gear. These 90 tooth ratchets do not like super lube on the face of the gear- the pawl will stick to it. I'm not crazy about the handle as I like a large diameter knurled grip like the old SK ratchets had, but those seem to have gone away on new designs. Oh well.
