Was straightening up my shop the other day and putting stuff up and discovered that I am missing a 14mm 12 point impact socket out of my Tekton set. I am pretty sure I know where it went and I don't talk to that person anymore. Went on Tekton's website and apparently they don't sell these sockets anymore. I contacted them via the contact form on their website to ask if it is possible to purchase a replacement for this socket. Their response was that they no longer sell those sockets, but that if I sent them a picture of the set they would send me a replacement gratis.

I just thought it was nice that they were willing to help me out when they didn't really have any obligation to do so.

I'll tell ya.....with all the negativity posted as of late concerning tool companies warranty, customer service, shipping, etc, this post is like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for posting.

Indeed.

Tekton CS is pretty much second to none.

Yep I just warrantied a small straight blade screwdriver.

It was - believe it or not - not being used as a pry bar but we were using it in the weird rectangular slotted screws in a Motorcraft (Holley) 4bbl carb and the tip snapped. I told Dave precisely what we were doing and he still sent out a replacement-- which arrived surprisingly promptly given USPS logistics

Count me as a fan. It's amazing that Tekton can handle customer service inquiries and warranties like a 21st-century company should and the huge tool corporations still require mail-ins, filling out forms, and throwing up all these hoops that one must jump through. Kudos to Tekton.

I'm a fan of Tekton tools too, but I'd like to say that I deal with quite a few good companies, in part because I stop buying from any company that does not provide good service.

That's free market forces at work and its a good thing: good companies thrive, bad companies fail.

I had ordered a couple of large crowfoot sockets. When they finally arrived, the package was broken and they were scratched. Sent pictures to them and they shipped new no questions.

My last order never arrived it’s between ORD and Mke. Sent them a message they sent it again but did not send it to the right address. Messaged them again and now it’s going to the original address. Hopefully fedex will not lose it this time.

Spread my 1-3/8" crowsfoot doing something dumb, admitted it via email (never said I was the smartest) and within the hour had a shipping notification. Just awesome.

That’s awesome. I still have yet to make a Tekton purchase but plan too.
Blake, if you are swingin' wrenches for a living, you should absolutely look into them. As others have mentioned, their customer service and warranty are stellar. (Yes, I'm a "fanboy")

I love my Snappy stuff (I was on the truck this morning), but if I had it to do all over again, there would be a much larger diet of Tekton in my box than there is now. I used my Tekton flex head ratchet yesterday while my Snappy/SK/Wright/etc rats watched from the drawer.

If you do look into getting some, DO NOT get it from Amazon. Set up a user account on Tekton's website and buy everything through that. You get free shipping on ALL orders, regardless of the amount and you get a 10% credit on every dollar you spend to be used for buying future items. You can also start "wish lists" and just put them in the cart when you are ready. Everything I'v ordered from them has been to my door in 2-4 days.

OK so I am in the process of switching my tools over to Tekton. I have my (almost) 2400’ shop with my 2-post lift and all the other equipment I need to do whatever I need to on my vehicles or friends. I am a HUGE believer in CS and just had to give a shoutout to Tekton and how amazing they are. I ordered a 19-piece SAE 12-point socket set and one of the sockets was a 6-point. Contacted Tekton with a pic of it, and less than 20 minutes later Taylor emailed me back saying they have a replacement on the way and to not worry about sending back the 6-point socket.

Today, I was putting away my 1/2“ sockets I had purchased and noticed out of the three sets I ordered, one of them was missing a 1-1/2” socket. Again I emailed Tekton, with a pic and again, this time in less than 5-minutes, Taylor emailed me again apologizing for the mixup and were sending me another one out.

I know some people will sit there and go wow, two screwups back to back. I have ordered a SIGNIFICANT amount of tools from Tekton and this was the first time I had anything happen. But to me the fact I was able to email them and both times instantly get a response with follow up emails with tracking numbers - Tekton definitely has a lifelong customer here! They have restored my hope in quality customer service!

I wish it was still that simple with Craftsman beginning this month you have to send the old ones back and when you get it in the mail they send the new ones. Since my last post I have made Tekton purchases at Rural King. If I do happen to have an issue I am happy to know they have a great warranty and response.

I initially purchased them through Amazon, but then the 10% credit on every purchase has really added up for me! And ironically, they're pretty much just as fast as Amazon!

I ordered a 1/4" torque wrench from them recently, and it shipped quickly but after a couple days FedEx went from a date to "Pending" on the delivery. As the weekend I wanted to use it approached, I called Tekton to see if they could she any light (FedEx told me it was probably fine by that they'd run a trace...and never got back...). The rep immediately said "I'll send one out today." I told him I could wait a day and see if it cleared up, and that I hated to waste their money on shipping. He said "It's fine, we'd rather have you taken care of" and had the $0 "invoice" in my email before we hung up. I saw the new tracking in the FedEx app five minutes later.

I spread my 10mm crows foot on a hard to reach bolt on my intake plenum and it also mushroomed the jaws when it slipped because I didn't have it situated squarely (my fault). Sent Tekton photos and they had one shipped to me the same day - no questions asked. Their top notch customer service will garner them more future business from me for sure!

Had another issue today. Set of stubby metric wrenches came with two 18mm and no 15mm. While I would prefer for them to not make these errors, same as last time I sent an e-mail with a picture attached and got an acknowledgement and promise to ship the replacement within minutes, and the tracking number within a few hours. Perfect is impossible so I am pretty darn happy with the speed of their response.

I didn't expect them to go as far as to replace the missing socket. That's really taking customer service to the next level.

Another fan boy here, Ive replaced all of my sockets and then some, in the last year. All sizes and types with Tekton. Which is not a big deal, it was mostly 1980s craftsman. I get my deliveries next day, when they use FedEx Ground. Im about 5hrs from Grand Rapids.

Still running S/O combo wrenches though. I did buy both SAE and Metric Combos from Tekton, but they are in my road box.

I've never had an occasion to use their customer service. Based on others' experiences, I'll continue to buy their stuff. Now, if they'd just come out with reversible flex ratcheting box-ends....

I've had a few FedEx shipments get lost recently. Shipment just ends up in "Pending" purgatory. Bizarre.

Tekton just does a great job at putting a smile on your face when you open their packages. Little nuances in how things are packed and wrapped.

I bought a wrench set from tekton 8-19. Turns out I should have bought up to 22 since I needed/still need the other sizes. I asked customer service if they would sell a completer set, but unfortunately for me (makes sense as well) they would only sell individuals. Well those three wrenches is the cost of the entire 8-19 set hah. Lesson learned to always but the bigger set.

I have an retail account with Tekton, so I get emails, just got a promotional email on new USA made Hook and Pic set, for $20. I needed some new USA dead blows, so I just made an order for both. Maybe an hour later, I get a tracking number that my order has shipped. I will likely have the tools tomorrow. My stuff always turns up next day.

So not only do they service you after the sale, they get the new orders out just as quickly.

edit, I just noticed in my emails, order took place at 9:17, tracking number provided at 9:45. What companies out there, and can turn and burn a pic and ship like that, and they dont even advertise or promise instant shipping, at least that Ive noticed.

As expected, next day delivery. Just over 24hrs from when I dropped the hammer. Thinking these are new to the catalog, and they said " Made in USA ".

These are nice for $20 They appear to be a smidge larger than my Snap Ons.
