Can anyone tell me what size bit I need to disassemble a 1/4" drive Tekton 90 tooth ratchet? Hard for my old eyes to see but I believe it's Torx. Number 8 Torx is the smallest I currently have and it's too big.

The ones on my snap on ratchets are T3 so you will probably need something smaller than the T8 that you have.

I tried. I went out and checked in mine. It's smaller than a T7. I am also not 100% convinced it's torx. Even with my cheaters, the only thing I can tell for sure is, it's tiny.

You need to add two new tools to your collection:
1. Whatever size & type bit it is. (Sorry can't help you there.)
2. A decent magnifying glass.

I bought a set of 4mm micro torx bits and a Wiha holder. The T5 did the trick. A drop of assembly lube and it's like riding on air.
