Just got the 8-19mm set, very excited.
I have been considering the big metric set. Would be interested to hear your thoughts when they arrive.Ordered 2 racks and all the oddball small/big sizes in metric and sae, should be here Friday. Anybody else grab some?

I'll post up some pics. I have their regular crow foot in the oddball sizes and am very happy. Those racks are nice too, as well as the angle wrenches. I've been REALLY happy with the US made oddball sizes they offer in stuff like that.I have been considering the big metric set. Would be interested to hear your thoughts when they arrive.
Me too and a 22mm.Just got the 8-19mm set, very excited.
You see a lot of rust, so they should be very useful.

Should have bought both master sets, but I just couldn't justify it. I have a good amount of tools outstanding with Snap On too, so I'm not spending like a drunk sailor until at least one of my things shows up.

If they're listening - Tekton thank you for making these inclusive sets. Makes life so much easier to have a full set of 30/60 wrenches in both measurements. Same deal with these, it sets the tools truly designed for professionals apart.

If you have a fastener with only wrench flats instead of a complete hexagon you'll need standard crow foot wrenches instead of flair wrenches.Noob question: Cost aside and knowing there are fastener scenarios that essentially demand a flare wrench, is there a disadvantage to having flare vs. standard for crow foot?

IMO the Astro set is a better deal, and IIRC they aren't as thick which is a plus.Does not skip sizes, SAE sizes.

Those are standard flare nut crow feet. These have a taller profile. Makes lining them up easier, and their profile is slimmer overall. I'm think high pressure fuel line connections and tight trans cooler/PS lines. The taller profile will also be better for wide, but soft, fittings.
Noob question: Cost aside and knowing there are fastener scenarios that essentially demand a flare wrench, is there a disadvantage to having flare vs. standard for crow foot?
Fitment. It's also harder to get a flare nut style engaged, removed, and engaged. The flare nut style also have a larger width near the flats, since they're wrapping around the fastener. So if you have concerns about obstructions next to the fastener, a standard crowfoot is slimmer. I'm a believer in having a high quality open end crow foot. You can get away with cheaper flare nut style, but you're gambling hard on two flats worth of engagement.
The biggest issue is getting it on a fastener. Sometimes its a 17mm on two flats, an 18mm on two more, and 16 on the last two. That ***** to fight the rust all off of to get the flare nut style on. In fairness, when stuff gets really rusty, a standard crowfoot probably would round it anyways.
If I could only have 1? Flare nut. Rust is a PITA, and IMO standard crowfeet are for getting clever with, not battling rusted connections.

The finish is fantastic! The deeper offset than my SO kind of make me want to get the full set of these. The SO are just flat, but I dig the deeper offset these have.....hmmmm......Just got mine in the mail. Even better profile than I expected.
