I don't know. Capri's set gives you the 15 mm and are $20 cheaper for the metric set. The only downside is that the Capri set is only available in a case and not on a rail which is a waste to me.

I'm glad they're offered in rail sets too. Rails are the wrong colors, but still...

The GW are on nice rails. Correct color rails... $63 on AMZN

I am interested in the Tekton universals because they are a little shorter than the GW. Not sure how the length compares to the Capri or others. Every little bit helps when it comes to reducing the turning angle.

You can get quality rails for like 5 dollars and you wont end up with a red (SAE) colored rail for your metric swivels I own the Capri, bought them on release. Nice set, tho they appear to be a few millimeters longer in every size.

Capri seems to have their set staged in 3 different sizes or so. Tektons seem to go 6-9 in the same size and then end up different from there on up. All throughout Capri seem a few mm longer. My 10mm is 37.03 mm long held as straight as I could get it in the caliper, tektons comes in at 28mm or so, quite a difference. However in the 14mm, Capris comes in at 37mm and Tektons at 32.7. Looking at the Gearwrench sockets, they look similar and share the same dimensions as the capri, at least in the 14. Their 14mm comes in at 1.457 or 37.01 mm, so probably the same OEM. The 10mm almost looks like a semi deep swivel, kinda unique or odd. If you want shallow tektons seem to be very shallow which is quite nice.

I'm not sure if they share the same OEM as the Capri's use screws instead of pins on the joints. I forgot to add that the Capri set runs 5mm, 5.5, 6-15 mm.
having the 5.5 mm can be real handy depending on what you work on.
I agree that the Capri 10 mm 1/4 drive universal socket is broached deeper than the others and it looks longer just sitting in the case. Speaking of the case, Capri offers some real nice cases with many of their sets but, the case adds cost and aside from a road kit, i'm pretty sure many people stash the empty cases and use rails. Capri could probably lower costs and attract more buyers if they would offer rail sets.

most important is how smooth they rotate and to what max angle and method used keep some joint tension .
shorter package and pin positions pay massive roll between good and bad .
Bad ones are almost not worth having and it an area that quality design does matter if want tool perform and save the day .

Oh good catch, I didn't notice that. Looks like they use a 1.5mm allen screw. Just went and snugged them up a little. I hear ya on the case, I really like them but I use all of my tools outta a tool box so they serve little purpose for me too, they're actually till next to me on my desk. They seem to be another company that's doing good things so hopefully rails are in the works.

Very timely for me, I recently purchased my first Tekton sockets and some wrenches. Impressed with them and was wanting some metric swivels as well. I will be watching for them.

I purchased the 1/4" metric universal swivel set and a couple new ratchets directly from the Tekton website. I'm pretty impressed with both so I went ahead and ordered the 3/8 metric universal swivel set. Eventually I will pickup a few more ratchets to round out my socket drawer.

Tekton listened but, still got the color coding of the case wrong. Red is for SAE

$45 for a rather complete set of 1/4 drive metric sockets and drive tools seems like a winner-winner chicken dinner to me.

Although I would have liked to see the set run to 15 mm, i realize that most of the world doesn't use 15 mm in 1/4 drive so, i can live with it. I'm not a fan of quick release ratchets but, that's just me.

I'm also happy to see the sockets only sets coming in. I don't need any sockets but, i'll get some on sale. I wonder if there will be a Tekton Father's Day sale soon

I like 15 mm stuff in 1/4 drive. I bought a single 15 mm 1/4 drive socket from amazon years ago so I could use my inch lbs 1/4 drive torque wrench to tighten the 15 mm valve body bolts on my old Saturn SL. Since on a Saturn SL you change the valve body about every 1500 miles, that sucker saw a lot of use lol. For what I spent on rebuilt VB I should have just swapped in a 5 speed stick from the junkyard. I also have what looks like a homemade 18 inch breaker bar in 1/4 drive from a garage sale I think. I might look for a 19 mm 1/4 drive and see if I could use it on wheel lugs just for fun.

I also have an 8 mm in 1/2 drive impact. I sort of like absurdly over and undersized tools for the novelty and humor of it all.

I looked into getting a 10mm and the reviews i found showed the design is weak, sometimes spreading and coming apart. Unique design, and probably handy for low torque applications. YMMV.
