Says USA right on the punches, bro.

I don't know what your Grace punches look like, but Tekton does, in fact, sell some American made tools. I believe their pliers are Wilde, and if I'm not mistaken, Wilde makes punches too. These may be Wilde re-brands.

Thanks for pointing that out! I guess it was pretty obvious. I'm not well versed on all the brands and what not. That is pretty cool! I though tekton was just another chinese selling company. I just happened to see the Grace branded punches in the suggested products section and made the comparison in my head. Any way, thanks for the reply.

there is also an 18 pc. set with bigger base marketed as gunsmith punch set for $50...seems like a pretty decent deal.

BTW, what's with all the Tekton tools at the discount/junk store lately? just picked up a set of impact torx/hex sockets for $8. are they all discontinued models? was surprised as usually I only see clearance out old stock from parts stores, rarely name brand stuff...

Where do you usually see them in stores? I have never personally seen tekton anywhere but online. Yeah I saw that larger set, definitely looks good.

If you want to see a crazy amount of tekton tools in one place find a BIG R store. They are a little pricey compared to Meijer but they have like every Tekton tool. And I didn't know Menards sold Wilde punches and chisels. I'm getting some of them roll pin punches tomorrow. The Wilde ones.

I'm in Arizona, so most of these stores I haven't heard of. Now that I think about it, I might have seen some tekton in a brick and mortar store, but can think of where it was. Might have just been a mom and pop shop.

I love my Tekton tools. Great prybar set. And personally even through I work in a heavy equipment shop and a lot of my tools are name brand im getting a lot more of the harbor freight/china stuff. Reason being is either way its going to be abused and the harbor freight I use doesn't ever ask anything when I warrenty swap anything. they just take the old one and do the swap. Way better then any other warrenty I deal with.

There is a rep from tekton on the forum here, I will send him a message to this thread, and may he can provide a bit more insight. They look brand new, Amazon may even be drop shipping them?

I just exchanged a few PM's with our Tekton rep on the forum (as i want to purchase these punches).

Of course he cannot release any info regarding manufacture, etc, but he assure me the punches are a Tekton product, carrying the Tekton warranty, and made in the USA.

It does sound like they are brand new, and i guess Amazon is taking preorders. He states that Amazon will have shipment within the next few weeks.

I am in for a set for sure.

Interesting side thing---

I punched the Amazon item #'s into www.tektontools.com ...

And "No Results Found"...

HMMM???

I bought all the Tekton Ball Pein Hammers (8 through 48 oz) and, although they're Chinese, they're well worth the asking price at Amazon...Nice hammers...

I really like their warranty---"Email us a photo of your broken "Widget Remover", and we'll FedEx you another one"!!!

Tekton is good people trying to do the best they can.Good tools at non-idiot prices. I support them when I can. I've got some hammers and wrenches and bunches of impact sockets, extensions, swivels, some pliers.
Really decent stuff at a good number.
They're a straight shooting bunch.Their customer service is first rate as many posts here attest to.
Their rep will be here shortly to tell the punch story and square things away. I'd like to have a set. :dunno::thumbup:
