Thanks to the OP's post, I got the locking pliers and phillips screwdriver. They arrived today. I was impressed at the heft of both. Nice job Tekton, I'll be back to make more purchases.

2$ is good price for this. But this screw driver is awkward and hard to hold but nice to see made in USA tools for 1$ the lock jaws have no coo. So I guess Taiwan? The pliers are nice and good quality.DSC_0289.jpeg

I feel the same. The screwdriver feels good for final tightening, but for quickly turning a screw it felt awkward.

Yeah, I used the screwdriver today, not very easy to spin.

The box says Taiwan for the pliers.

I forgot to look at the box I tossed it right quick. Didn't want the wife complaining again.

Hah! My wife was out of town today when mine arrived. She doesn’t usually complain much as she brings home cookbooks by the dozen and also has a thing for shoes and cookware.

Great quality stuff for a low price. These are my first Tekton tools.

Here are my Tekton samples -- a screwdriver and ratcheting wrench.

COO driver USA, marked on tool and packaging. COO wrench Taiwan, marked only on packaging.

I'm with the others who aren't crazy about the handle design on the driver. It doesn't quite fit right and the tri-lobed design isn't easy to spin. I'll stay with my favorite Vessel drivers.

The ratcheting wrench seem to be made well. It's a flat flip-flop design, compared to the bent lever-reversing kind I use most of the time. It'll get used some I'm sure, although it's kind of awkward to remember which side is the tighten side and which is the loosen side, with the only imprints being company name logo and item number.

Kudos to Tekton for giving us a chance to try their stuff, and to the op for the alert.

received mine the other day. I think I was with everyone else on the screw driver until I used it. the goofy design is really good for torqueing things down. I agree that it doesn't spin freely in your hand but I was terminating some wires in my fuse box and it was great for that.

I'm glad most could take advantage of the sample kits. My kit and the oil filter pliers arrived Saturday. The screwdriver does feel wonky, but gives pretty good torque if you grab the **** end. The locking pliers are of better quality than my Chinese Crescent.

The oil filter pliers (the Tekton site was out of stock so I ordered through Wal-mart) aren't pretty by any means, but they worked well on the wife's car.

Thanks for the alert on these! I received the screwdriver and 10mm wrench. Very nicely packaged and seem like nice tools. Undecided on the screwdriver, handle seems a little odd but will wait and see how I like it after I use it a bit.

Got the 10mm wrench and screwdriver. It came super fast and the packaging was great. Hell, even the bubble envelope it came in was really nice!
