Tekton sockets

Looking at purchasing some tekton sockets off amazon. Anyone had any experience with these? Looking at 3\8 and 1\2 drive impact sockets. Also anyone found them anywhere cheaper then amazon?

Will be using for diy currently have craftsmen not anything wrong with them but would like to fill in the missing sockets I don't currently have.

I have 12 point shallow metric and deep SAE. I like them better than the Harbor Freight ones but they do cost more. None of the 12 points have rounded off bolts when using my Milwaukee high torque impact. I got the 12 points since I have run across a few 12 point bolts and didn't have any impacts that would fit.

Tekton's impact sockets are average/lackluster, but if you insist on them I believe their website gives 5% cashback (points?) and also offer free shipping.

I bought some a few years ago and I would recommend for DIY. The sets I got had no skips and came in a case. Every now and then Tekton has a sale or coupon which can save you a few $.

I use harbor freight deep impact sockets for most work, and to be honest they are just as good as any other socket I have ever used. Sockets are one of those things where unless you are using some really bad Ikea-sale type of sockets then they will never fail.

I have 3/8 and 1/2" impact sockets from Tekton and have been happy with them. I bought them off Amazon.

I have both 3/8” and 1/2” 6 point metric and standard in my work truck that I use professionally daily. I am a maintenance mechanic at waste water plants and use the high torque Milwaukee 18V fuel line. I like these sets because they do not skip sizes and come in a nice quality latching case. I think impact sockets are pretty much all the same but I chose these because they were a complete set in a case.
I have been pretty surprised by the whole tekton line and their great customer service and warranty process.

I use the impact sockets and they are perfectly fine.

The walls are a little thicker than others, but that's my only complaint. Certainly well worth the price you pay for them.

Depending on how many sockets you're buying, one of the Sunex master kits with no skips might be a better value. Add up the totals for both and see what you come up with.

I have had the full 3/8 and 1/2 6 point impact socket sets for about 2-3 years and havnt had an issue. Im just an at home mechanic and they've worked great for that.

That said i measured a couple just to see and the tolerances on them seem A+ And they have a nice thick wall, thicker than most but i havnt had an issue yet.

I will agree with this. My 15/16 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 are so covered in anti seize that I can’t see the markings but the sizes are molded into the case. When they are out they can get mixed up.

With impact sockets, it doesn't really matter where you get them from. Unless they are really worn down and you really beat on them, they rarely break. I would go with Tekton to avoid size skips or if I need 12 point ones.

Meijer was running 25% off tekton stuff I don't remember how long the sale was for but 25% is a good deal, got stubby wrench sets in metric and sae. For 17 bucks a piece.

I’m happy with my Tekton impact sockets. Mrs got them for me as a birthday gift. Pretty fantastic gift, truth be told.

They’re deep, metric. I have a ½” and a ⅜” drive 6-point set.

I’m just a hobbyist (truck, quads, tractor maintenance, etc) and they’ve served me well.

I tossed the blow molded cases. I mounted them to the rails I use in my tool chest, where they live, so I don’t have an opinion on the cases.

My only gripe is they're only laser etched, no rollmark or stamped sizes. Ive had mine for 6 months and my 21 and 22 are getting really light. Aside from that Ive used them daily in the shop with no issues.
