Has anybody noticed the 14mm stubby isn't 14mm? Is there a tekton member on the forums? I remember corresponding with a Dave at tekton long ago about tools.
14.17mm is stubby, 14.24mm is long wrench, both tekton. Long wrench fits the 14mm nut I used a 14mm flare wrench on, the 14mm stubby won't even go on at all.

Happened to me once with a Tekton socket. Contact them through their website and they'll take care of it.

Check out page 5 of the above PDF file. It gives you the ASME standard for figuring the what the allowable wrench openings are. Also notice that there are other standards organisations that may differ with ASME. You give the wrench sizes but you failed to give the measured size of the fitting your applying the wrench to. Some random hex is not a standard to judge a wrench with. You might be wise to search out allowable tolerances for head sizes of bolts/fittings.

The above pdf shows that DIN3110 has the 14m wrench sized from 14,1 to ~14,25 mm so your wrenches seem to be in spec.

Are you sure the nut isn't 9/16"? It's about 0.010" larger than 14mm.

As others have pointed out, it is within spec at 14.25. I would confirm you don't have a 9/16's fastener. If you're still having trouble just contact us for help at tekton.com/tool-help.
