The price is way more than I'd ever pay for a box for the house.

IMO if this is the cost of building a quality "domestic" box then so be it. It doesn't fit my price point for my house, however...

Tekton is consistantly proving to be a company making great business decisions. They have good steady growth, product line that is being comprehensively upgraded and expanded. Their service is hands down their strongest selling point. Followed by their fantastic quality to price ratio. They will further blur the lines between being a pro quality company and providing affordable tools for guys like us.

They also seem to have clear business goals that seem to put them on a trajectory to compete with the top tier companies. I think if their prices stay reasonable, they will take a huge chunk out of their market share.

I see them becoming the Amazon of tools. Lean and mean. No longer will you have to support a fleet of trucks and franchisees driving to point to point or large retail stores. The tool trucks seem to be wildly inconsistent based on posts over the years. Skipping this place and that place or going under. No consistent service. Almost everyone has access to a computer.

(The fact that they are online in these forums providing service for Joe Blows like us is genius. Dave rules...Thanks Dave!)

Just order online, overnight tools at a fraction of the cost and be done. Amazon just started opening small physical stores. If Tekton can maintain a small physical presence in key locals this will help satisfy the instant gratification type and the need for a right now replacement of basic tools.

Look at how far they have come in just a few short years.

Definitely appear to be Rousseau, note the black little wedges.

Mercedes and many other dealerships supply these boxes to the techs. I work out of one every day and think its just as robust and beefy as a Snap On, tho not as pretty. I can't think of a single issue with my box and I've been in it awhile now, not sure how long its been in service before me. Everyone at the dealership is supplied the same box, and I don't ever hear any comment on complaint about them, they simply work day in and day out. I think with any new tool or tool box that comes to market, it'll be hard to get people on board initially. Sticker shock will be real for most.

Yeah, it would be nice to fit all my sockets in one drawer, my wrenches in another, or even be able to store all my long handle ratchets in an efficient manner. My wrenches are a pain in the *** to organize due to the depth. I could easily consolidate my (2) 44" and (1) 26" box into a 30" deep 72" box. When I bought my boxes they fit my old house perfectly, but I'd like to go to something deeper now.

Well, at first I was thinking, that’s a ton of space, but I have a HF 44”, Craftsman/Husky 26” top and bottom, a 30” dresser, 30” lateral file cabinet, 26” cabinet and more...so I guess the 72” with 30” deep drawers isn’t that weird.

*how are you storing your wrenches? I’ve got 6-32mm and 1/4 - 1-1/2 all in the 18” deep US Gen and it’s not an issue. Just interested. I’m using the top drawer of the 44” for the entire 299 pc Craftsman socket set.

With regards to my ratchets, as you can see by the cases on the ground, I just bought another torque wrench and couldn't keep them in their cases and still fit them in my drawer. With a 30" deep drawer everything would be in their case and everything would be oriented front to back, which would leave half the drawer empty for my extensions/adapters. Also, because the drawers don't open all the way, it's a pain in the *** to get the tools in the back out (torque multiplier head/handle).

All of my chrome and impact sockets would fit in one 30" deep top drawer. Unfortunately, my impacts reside in the bottom drawer right now as the rest of the drawers are too shallow. Once again, because the drawers don't open all the way it's a ***** to get to my back sockets. Keep in mind, I don't even have my 3/4" drive stuff pictured or my bit sockets, crowsfeet, etc.

My wrenches drive me crazy. It takes 5 drawers to house my wrenches in an organized manner. When your wrenches are longer than the drawer depth, it really limits how you can arrange them. I recently got the large size ratchet wrenches and they are just thrown in however I could get them to fit for the time being.

Bottom line is I'd like to consolidate down to 1 or 2 deeper boxes. The HF boxes are great, and I'd buy their larger ones, but the depth is still a deal breaker.
