I had a torque wrench take a dump. I took a picture of the unit and filled out the warranty claim via email. After a couple questions from Tekton my new torque wrench showed up at the house. In less than 72 hours, they my not be the snap-on equivalent but with the that kind of service their hard to beat. By the way this is the first Tekton tool to fail and the sone has a boatload that he uses on the farm. I would recommend the line to people looking for average guy garage work or for those that are starting out. Good tools at fair prices, above average customer service.

It wouldn’t catch and lock when trying to torque a nut. I’m going to do a post mortem on it today. It would feel good when using it your hand but any sign of real work it would slip.

Some of the tools I use professionally , day in and day out, are from Tekton and I absolutely love this company and their customer service. I especially like their American made pliers and their impact sockets.

Another +1 for their customer service! Had a screwdriver that the corner of the blade chipped off (not sure how), but they asked for a pic and two days later I had a replacement.

I've been happy with everything Tekton that I've purchased. I really like the 3/8" complete set I have. It's my go to.

Tekton is the business when it comes to warranty, and since they started focusing on Taiwan their quality really is up there on many items. Only thing that's close ease wise is Astro who i sent a PM to on this board and had the replacement 2 days later. I've also just texted their customer service a picture in the past while I was on break 20 mins after breaking the tool. Doesn't get much easier than that.

Home Depot on-line usually has some decent prices on Tekton. Currently that 24340 torque wrench is $53.58. Shipping is free on orders over $45.00 and you can always get it shipped to the store at no charge.

I paid $57.80 for this same wrench in March on Amazon so $53.58 is a decent price.

............and it's $50.99 at TSC right now with free shipping:

I usually by Craftsman because you can take the broken tool back to the store for a new one but now my local Sears store is closed and Lowes is far from my house.

Do you have to ship back the broken tool after you receive the replacement? Do they send you an envelope or box to ship the broken tool back or do they give you a return label or do you have to pay for the return shipping on the broken tool?

Usually they just request a pic of the broken tool via email and send you a new one.

So, you do not have to ship back the broken tool after you receive a replacement?

I usually return broken tools to a physical store or tool truck.
