Because Tekton isn't a manufacturer. As far as I know, they don't "make" any of their products, which is not at all unusual today.

I needed to round out my tool collection after I retired and my U.S. of A. made first choice was too costly for me to justify on a fixed income and a home shop. I Have added deep well metrics from Tekton in a couple drive sizes and I do like their sockets (although not as well as my front line SK's). I have also wondered who was manufacturing them for Tekton. They, like a lot of others, don't make that info readily available.

I suspect it may be because they understand that they may change mfrs. before they revise their product line and that type of info would have to change anywhere they listed it.

Tekton is made by MIT. They have been making tools since 1956. They probably don't make everything they sell, but I think it would be naive to think they don't make any.

MIT is an importer.

It would be naive to think that they manufacture much, if any of what they sell.

I'm not knocking the Tekton brand, own quite a bit of it, and it's good stuff. I also own some MIT-labeled stuff that I like, as well.

But they're not a manufacturer.

As for who they contract out to, they've always been incredibly cagey about that - their general attitude is that the Tekton brand should speak for itself. I remember some particularly incensed posts along these lines regarding the manufacturer of their US-made screwdrivers.
