I agree, they are nice tools for the price. I have Tekton sockets impact/chrome, ratcheting long wrenches, and combo wrenches. They come with nice holders and the chrome always looks fantastic. Sure they aren't quite as nice as the truck brands, but as a DIYer I can't justify spending spending 4x on stuff like sockets when they aren't 4x as good. I can't imagine them breaking under normal use. Although with ratchets, i'll splurge on the snap on.

Tekton keeps improving which is great. Decent tools at great prices with incredible customer service and support. They drop stuff that is junk like the Chinese flare nut wrenches. I hope to see some better versions come back and some angle wrenches. If I need to buy Snap-on I will but when I don’t have to I like saving money.

Been buying a lot of their tools over the last year or more, really impressed and no issues.
I really like that some of their produts are being made in the USA now. Got my son in law a Tekton socket set last Christmas. I have noticed he has been buying more Tekton tools since.

I bought a set of wobble extensions and they didn't have their name on any of them. I could put them next to an HF set and not see any difference. Last Tekton tool I bought.

I try not to write off a tool co based on one product. Tekton do some OK tools that are value for money, they are basically sold on price point. They appear to at least care about customer feedback and warranty which is good for a price point tool co. Many low price socket extensions look similar and are not labelled, I'd judge them on fit and function opposed to whether their name is written on the side.

Some of their stuff is made by the same manufacturer as HF, like their composite ratchets, However some of their stuff is made by Wilde in the USA like their pry bars, slip joint pliers, groove joint pliers and probably some other items. Their screwdrivers are made in the USA too, and their combination wrenches and sockets (Taiwan) are the best value going.

*Channellock combination wrenches are going to give them a run for their money.

Those were the extra long combination wrenches, correct? I wonder why Tekton discontinued them.

That's correct. It would be interesting to know. They also had angle wrenches. They were functional but a little ugly and rough, similar to other Indian wrenches I've seen at HF and Northern Tool.

The new wrenches certainly look and feel better. The Taiwanese manufacturers seem to be the best for being able to stick to reasonable tolerances and also be able to produce something that looks good. They don't feel quite like the high end stuff but they are exceptional for the price.
