So I picked up a set of these today. Stubby SAE set. Not something I need or use much, but it was a hole in my tool collection.
I have a few of their c-clamps and they seem to be very good in the fit and finish. Nice paint (maybe powder coat), chrome plated screw, and not much "play" where the screw goes through the frame. Cost is reasonable too.

Working on the road I had to go to Meijer to get some metric hex sockets. They are bad, bits were soft and wore out fast. Got me through the job though. I also bought a set of the flex head ratchet wrenches, they are not bad. Nice chrome, 6 point. Flex section isn't sloppy.

Bit sockets and bits in general is something the low cost tool makers have yet to perfect. Some are better than others but the best bit sockets I have yet used were either Wiha or Snap On. VIM gets good reviews though and they are priced a little above what I would call "cheap".
Tekton is a great company though and even if they have a few turds, I feel they are just trying to fill gaps at the same price point as the rest of their lineup.

I was installing a class 3 trailer hitch. The main bolt was a giant flat head with 1/2" hex drive that they wanted torqued to 250 ft lbs. I bought the cheap bit set at HF, installed it on an SK 25" breaker bar and put a cheater pipe on that. I pulled until the breaker bar started to bend and called it tight as I do not have a torque wrench that goes that high. The HF bit from a $7 set was totally undamaged.

Ive never stripped or damaged a 1/2 hex bit either. Haha.
Plenty of 5/32, 3/16, 4mm, 5mm though. As well any torx bit up to T40. My Torx bit sockets are my number one warranted class of tool. Much fewer though since I got the Snappys.
I don't warrant these because I use a power tool on it but I go through 1or 2 T27 4" Wiha power bits every month depending on what I am doing. I buy them from McMaster-Carr by the dozen. I work with T27 screws and a 1/4" impact driver pretty frequently.
