With all the talk about the new HF Pro rats, nobody seemed to notice Tekton has their own version, and it's one you can't get at HF. At least not at either of the two near me.

I like spark plug rats, but you don't see a whole lot of them anymore. It doesn't seem like you do anyway.

Kudos to Tekton for the unique offering

I like how the Tekton are not soft grips. If I was in the market for ratchets and couldn't afford a USA made tool, Tekton would be my first choice.

Is this the same as the craftsman taiwanese bent handle? Dunno. Saw those a while back bit too pricey for me (30+ bucks). Bent handles are handy for brake work, everything else...depends.

That seems to be the only ratchet with that style head on it. Too bad, I could see me picking up a couple other versions... standard, long, and flex versions of both...

Not like I need any more damn ratchets, though...

Blasphemy!

I said the same thing once, feeling all cool with my 60 some ratchets. Then I met a guy with 700 and I felt like a sissy girl

Id be nice to see Harbor Freight come out with these myself! I like the comfortable grip handles myself and a hassle-free local warranty is nice!

I use my bent handled flex SO 3/8 ratchet exclusively. I never use a straight handle, non flex head ever, unless I'm at a buddy's house and that's all he has.

Alot of people can't seem to work a bent, flex head ratchet properly:willy_nil

That's a ratchet that I really want, but since I'm a survey tech rather than an automotive tech, I have a hard time justifying the extra $100+ over the Tekton.

Yeah, I got the Tekton email ratchet announcement the other day. The other 1/4 drive ratchet heads looked pretty thick.

I don't think spark plug ratchets are that popular these days due the geography of today's crowded engine compartments and with most plugs lasting 100k miles many people don't change them. :dunno:

Nice looking ratchet though.

looks very interesting and I love the quality of all of these Taiwan tools coming out lately, but call me crazy, but I also want one with the bend going in the opposite direction, which would seem even more useful for getting into tight spots on some vehicles for things like SPARK PLUGS!

they seem like good tools but I've never seen them in a store in my area? Who carries the brand besides online retailers?

I got my extra long 3/8" ratchet from Amazon.
The only beef I have is my SO ext's don't stay on.

The bent how it is helps a lot with transverse mounted engines. Anyone that has ever changed plugs on a 3.4 GM Fwd knows this angst.

Also, this lets you get out and over the rotor for the caliper bolts. Less tendency to roll off the bolt and strip it since your hand is more inline with the fastener.

Just what I was thinking.

I have both, I had the GW first and loved it, but that handle can get in the way sometimes. I'm a non-comfort grip guy most of the year, but when the temps drop I'll bring the GW back out.

Well, even though I don't really NEED any more ratchets, I still seem to be buying more... At least four last month. And I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict a couple of these will find their way to the Casa de BK next month...

So I Google the ratchet and come up with this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OHSRRA2/?tag=atomicindus08-20
so for about $22 you can have one. What's this about $100 ratchet, am I missing something??

FYI the seller there is GRPerks. I ordered my Tekton roto from them and it took FOREVER, nearly 2 weeks. For pennies more you can get from Amazon & it's Prime eligible. 2 days or 2 weeks, your choice. Don't be deceived if it says something about "to your door in 3-7 days," my roto claimed that but it showed up much later than that, although it was still somehow inexplicably within the delivery range (the LAST day) of when Amazon thought I'd have it when I left seller feedback. All I can figure is 3-7 days from when they decide to ship, not from date of your order.

Wish I would have seen this ten mins ago!

You can usually still log in to your Amazon account and cancel orders within...........? I dunno, hours, minutes, something? I've done it before, their site is actually user-friendly about cancelling; I don't know if the mobile site is should you be using that (I tend to find the mobile site very limited but the regular site does seem a bit much for my Iphone4)

edit: I just checked my account to be sure: I ordered my 3/8" Tekton roto from GRPerks 10/8 and I got the notice from my post office 10/20 (I could have picked it up that day) and I picked it up 10/21. When I ordered it said "to your door in 3-7 days". If anyone can explain to me how 10/8 to 10/20 is 3-7 days I'd love to hear it. More over Amazon said I should have by 10/20, which I technically could have, but I also don't know how Amazon would consider that an acceptable delivery date when they KNOW I ordered 10/8. Anyway I wasn't in a huge hurry, I just find the whole thing mildly confusing and amusing at the same time.

Something like this? I don't have a pic but this ratchet handle does bend down as well.

With that many you will not have to put any of them back in the toolbox for years.. I would like to be able to do that, but I have less than 10.
