Someone here posted a link here about a Amazon special for a 3/8 set of SAE and Metric impact socket for around $60.00. I am having trouble finding it and I wondering if someone can guide me to it. Also if you know of any other 3/8 sets from Sunex that are a good buy. Looking for a set to go with a new Milwaukee impact gun, Thanks.

I, as in me, personally choose Sunex over Tekton. Shop around for prices. I have a local dealer that sells on ebay, but sells cheaper if I pick up at his store. I have multiple Sunex sets and they're all pro grade. They sell them on tool trucks and carry a great warranty. The few Tekton tools I've had, failed me and I never went back. Screwdrivers and a pair of pliers let me down a few years back so I stay away. Things have changed I know, but I still have a bad taste in my mouth. Can't comment on the impact sockets. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005MVB9Y8/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Both Tekton and Sunex offer a great value in Impacts. I know Tekton warranty support is 2nd to none, not sure about Sunex...

That said, I have a set of Sunex impacts that have been excellent, I've never owned Tekton impacts...

Tektron is a way cooler name.

I've never warrantied anything with Sunex but I expect they would be pretty good to work with. I've dealt with their customer service before when my rebate cards got screwed up and they could be best described as "Friendly Southern folk".

I would always choose Tekton if it were an either or choice. Their support is second to none. Also was really impressed with the quality of their combination wrenches (made in Taiwan).

I has to warranty a sunex socket when my set came in the mail. One of the sockets was chipped on the side somehow. One phone call, they had me another one in 3 days. Also people I spoke to were in the US for sure..cant fake a thick southern accent like that.

Thanks for the help and advice. I just purchased the Sunex set that gdocktor recommended. I won't be able to use any of this stuff for quite some time as I just had disc surgery. Just bored sitting around and looking toward the future. Thanks again for all the replies.

Between the two, I think you made the right call. Tekton is a good value for certain tools but their impact sockets and accessories are chrome-vanadium which seems inappropriate for impact use. Sunex impact sockets are the more traditional chrome-molybdenum.

Best of luck in post-surgery.
