Recently My grandfather passed down his MBC Rolling Box to me, with most of the tools still in it.
He bought it new, didnt tell me when, but I am assuming the mid-late 60s. It is in near perfect shape, just needs a light cleaning, Its an El Dorado series work box and chest with a Century small 3 drawer box in the middle and an unknown side cabinet.
I know MBC made Boxes for all the major tool truck companies out there, just wanted to see what the folks here thought about it and what they could tell me about it.
It also has alot of tool truck stickers on it, with one(not in the picture) that looks like it is from the late 60s early 70s.

Paul: looks like a keeper and especially if it has some family history to them. here's what the guys that have the knowledge need to help you more. they need many more pictures. top box with drawers exposed so they can see the style of the handles and drawer pattern. close up of the slides on the drawers and i'm sure they will have you looking for the date stamp which i'm not certain where to tell you where it's at on your boxes.

can you do that and you'll get a lot better answers. also if you can get clearer pictures that always helps.

by the way welcome to garage journal and we all hope you stick around to learn something and teach us what you know that might help us.

good luck

First off nice boxes. Drivesitfar is correct we would like more photos especially the top box.

MBC made boxes for brands such as Snap On and Vulcan and they are well made. The intermediate box is something I've never seen but I would really like to see the top box opened up.

BTW welcome.

Thanks for the tips on Pictures, It will be next weekend before I can get more pictures of it as I wont be able to get home until then. It was a treasure trove of tools, I found a mid 40s Snap-On 1/2in drive ratchet with a nearly complete socket set to match as well as a vintage Snap On Decal that says "Do it Better, Do It Faster with Snap-on Tools and has a technician holding a giant snap on wrench while he is running overlaid over a red background.
Still has all all the air tools and specialty tools in it, plus an ancient multimeter, and alot of Chrysler and Chevrolet interior parts from the 70s up to the late 90s.
