I got these wrenches today and while I know the obvious that they are SK I was hoping I could find out a little more information on what I have. They were my grandfathers and if I had to guess they are at least 25 years old at minimum. I can remember him having them when I was a kid. There are 14 wrenches in total, 3/8" thru 1 1/4". Pretty sure the roll is original.

What kind of quality/value is this set? I am pretty happy, I got them for free. Looking at sets available from SK now I can't find a 14pc. set to compare them to.

Those are very good wrenches. I have a set I pieced together from loose wrenches at a pawn shop.

There the older style raised panel sk wrenches. Very good wrenches. Not my cup of tea but will work very well for you. Keep them and hand them down if you can.

You have a bunch of old wrenches that you can use and think of your grandfather when you are using them

I've been trying to find the dates on SK wrenches of my own in a mixed set I put together that have similar markings and best I could figure out is late 70s-90s.

You've got KEEPER wrenches there . . . that's what you've got !!

+1 to remember your grandpa every time you use them. Pass them on to your son some day, as sentimental value much more than monetary.

I've only got one Craftsman double box-end wrench to remember my grandpa.

i'd guess late 70's - early 90's

all the sk's i saw in that time period had (IMHO) a piss poor polish job on them.

i have a few replacement sockets and wrenches mixed in with my late 50's finish SK

earlier sk and sk wayne era wrenches were a dull hard chrome finish w raised panel
