ive been a licensed automotive tech for fifeteen years now but tearing cars apart and putting them back together for 30 years.for the last 25 years ive built and or crewed on a variety of race cars, mostly road race sedans, gt and it classes, but also a whole bunch of ice race cars from stock class to anything goes like v6 volvo aluminum engines with 2 big three barrel webers stuck into the front of a saab sonnet body. i cant imagine having to pay anyone to do anything mechanical for me, if i dont know how ill learn before i shell out my hard earned cash.

I have done lots of engine work over the years - I usually leave the actual bottom end rebuilding to the professionals. Done lots of cam and cylinder head swaps, and performance upgrades. I don't do so many now, we have newer cars to drive. When I did the cam and heads on my truck, I hadn't done any in a quite while. When it came time to fire it up to break in the cam - it lit up right away! I was glad to see that I hadn't lost my skills
