I have been planning to start bodywork on my old race car for the last few weeks, but it has been 90+ out there for the last 5 weeks!

The car was in a crash in the early 90's and the body repairs were all done in bondo and great stuff. I had a minor incident in 2007 and since then the bondo has been falling off the car in chunks.

Hopefully your neighbor's won't mind you doing body work, because that looks like the kind of neighborhood where it might be a problem. Unless you plan on doing it all inside?

There is no HOA in my neighborhood, part of the reasons why I decided to build here. There are Township restrictions against commercial vehicles, inoperable vehicles, trailers and boats parked year round, and so on.

I need to put a lower qtr panel and trunk extension on the passenger side, then strip the lettering and stripes from both sides. At that point I will haul the car to a painter to make it a solid blue with factory stripes.

Fix it or live with it. My garage was 76 yesterday afternoon when it was 90 outside. All I did was insulate it. No cooling needed.
You can suffer or you can do something about the problem.

it basically in the high ninety in my area for five months of the year and 100 30 days of the year. I have yet to turn on my a/c in eight years. open the windows, have ceiling fans. its really not as bad as people complain, you got to live with it. get rid of black asphalt shingle, paint the house light colors wear white t shirts instead of black shirts and heavy jeans

It's 100 outside. Got up yesterday at 6:30 am and finished the insulation in the shop. It's 84 in there, down from 94 last week. Next up- mount some AC. When I painted the Falcon back in 1999, I spent 4 hours in a full suit in the old shop at 95f.

Sweet looking hit rod.
