Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I posted here. I now own a couple of commercial properties, and am going to be putting up a 30 x 65 PVC covered building to store my camper and pontoon in while the addition to my shop is built.
My question is, has anyone had experience just setting the feet of the building right on gravel and staking them down with long stakes? They gave several methods to use, such as the above mentioned method. One of the other methods was pouring concrete pads for each foot and bolting it to the pad. I am just looking for some reassurance that the building won't blow away if I just stake it to the ground without pouring concrete. My plan is to move the structure in about 1 year, so I don't want to have a bunch of concrete pads poured that I will have to dig up later.
I am located in central MN, and it can get windy. However the building will be sort of sandwiched in between 2 other buildings, so there is really no direct line for the wind to hit it full force.
Just wondering if anyone else has had any experiences with this?
Thanks,
Peter
