Temporary parking area protection?

Seeing how i just bought a new truck and do not have funds for epoxy floor. Anyone have have a cost effective way to cover floor where vehicle sits. I wonder how effective a tarp or plastic would be? Im in snow country so its gonna get messy pretty soon. It would have to last the winter. Thanks Don
