I am a tool junkie! And a tool hoarder! But a few years ago I promised to shed the chrome monkey at least until I had my stuff organized.

I was in with a bad crowd (Estate sales people) and I cut ties with them so I was not tempted...then they do this!

One of the ladies snuck around my block of her official site and sent me this.

http://www.texasproonthego.com/index.htm

You will need to scroll to the bottom to see the tools but you can understand my angst.

I need your help resisting as I am currently feeling weak...it can't hurt to just go look, right? I've been good and moved several vehicles and am a bit flush with cash, cleaned another garage from a pain to walk through to able to park a crew cab truck or Large Marge the 72 Cougar in it. But this latest push also uncovered another couple hundred pounds of tools and is only about 80% to where I want it to be.

I'm gonna go sort my pile of audio stuff now!

Sorry, can't help. Now I'm trying to figure out how I can afford a plane ticket to Texas.
I see a 3" Parker, Craftsman tool chest, and lots of wrenches.
You're doomed.

Pretty common around here - I pass that stuff up all the time. I see shop smiths everywhere, and have no interest in them at all. The rest of the tooling shown in the link I have plenty of, and so no interest there either.

Don't look. You will never be able to resist. Even if the prices are high, as someone else may have said.

Sale starts tomorrow so I ain't gone yet. Worked hard to be a good buyer and used to hit garage sales with them 20 years ago. Un fortunately they learned a lot from me and won't budge much on prices the first day even for me!

I have been able to stick to screaming deals or at least fill a pressing need. Last one I went to I bought a $5.00 bucket of pegboard hooks, $3.00 Proto 1/2" flex head ratchet, $5.00 Simplex vise...and 5 trailer loads of Ford cars and parts. Sure I made my money back in about a week of selling parts but I still have 4 cars and a load of parts to deal with!

Well, it is only 2 miles from where I get paint for my grinder stand, good excuse to get up and at it early!

It looks tempting, if it I was in my neck of the woods I wouldn't be able to resist, in spite of the fact that the prices kill any chance of flipping anything.

Only you know your wants, needs and prices so if you want to go and can stick to your guns and not blast away - do it.

If you think you're going to create a cluster!@#$ of madness - hide in a tornado shelter until Monday. :dunno:

Just so you know, I completely passed on this estate sale. To distract myself I did some cleaning on the big garage. I had been picking at it for a few weeks but Monday I could not wheel a bike through it.

Now I can fit a whole car in it and open both doors ALL the way!!
