Teng Tools USA opened, but are they open? Trouble getting help.

Stumbled across Teng Tools while surfing the web and found out about this Teng Tools and having now opened an office in USA. Opened end of March 2017 it appears.

https://www.tengtoolsusa.com

Saw some items that I wanted to buy and decided to give them a call.

Twice now no one picks-up the damn phone.

They also have a very annoying voicemail phone on-hold system.

While on hold for 30 minutes (figured I would give them a chance to get their morning coffee :lol_hitti) the on-hold music every 15 seconds... yes every 15 seconds... says your call is very important to us, please wait for the next available agent. That gets very old very fast.

Anyway, not a good way to make your intro into the USA market.

Hello, anyone at the office? Does not appear to be the case.

Oh well, maybe will have to buy from a different brand.

I decided to try the social media route and saw that Teng has a Facebook group. I PMed the group and did hear back from someone in short order. They answered my immediate question and I placed my online order. Hoping to see the gear and it all be in good order.

Said would look into my why I did not get anyone when calling and said he looked into it and appears some phone issue. I also emailed though and have not heard back but anyway, will give them the benefit of the doubt and see how things pan out.

Interesting......
I first saw Teng Tools in the credits of "Wheeler Dealers". Edd was using their tools, while his Snap-On boxes were in the background. Over the past few weeks I've seen them as Amazon pop-ups. I visited their site a few years ago and remember Scandinavian design, but Far East manufacture. I've always been interested in European tool design, but once I saw the ratchets made of plastic, covered by thin steel plates, it reminded me of the old Craftsman ratchet wrenches and I stopped looking.

I also did not like the fiber reinforced handles but would be OK if I owned a set later. But they also have other ratchet options, at least now, and the 72tooth set is what I am trying to buy. ;-)

*Update... order placed.... hope to see all goods next week. They apologized for the lack of getting back while things get settled in and hoping to see them do well!
