I have a Matco set and honestly I find myself using a regular pick more than anything in the kit. The best terminal release tool is the one specifically designed for the plug you are dealing with. Warranty isn't a big concern for me on these.

Unless you are a dedicated Electrical tech, I can't see how you could justify the Truck brands on a rarely used tool, especially on a non-toque application tool like these, i mean we're talking about metal vs plastic here.

I have both a matco set and a cheap set. They are very similar.

I have the SO sets and several other sets. The failure rate is high with a lot of use. Seen numerous connectors where the proper tool did not work right and one similar did. Plus I have a pile of created ones. Some of the proper connector tools are way more expensive than the truck ones. Some of the connectors the wrong tool is recommended as with Deutche high density connectors the factory tool is plastic and using a metal tool ruins the connector.
But if your going to do this regularly get a digital microscope.

Either get the steelman 23 piece set, or its identical appearing twin in the red box you have pictured. I've had the steelman set going on 10 years now, no issues.

Cut the T off of a T pin and put the shank in a pin vise. That will get most of them. I have the hard handle Snap on's. They're out dated.
