I have my shop site prepped and ready to pour the slab, and while going through the engineer’s notes, I noticed this section:
“All footings and slab are to be treated with a termite control pesticide.”
This caught me a little off guard since the structure is steel and concrete. I’m wondering if the concern is termites or ants getting into the XPS foam insulation under the slab, since that could potentially be an issue.
Did anyone else do this when building their shop? If so, what product did you use?
Just trying to figure out what I actually need to do before the concrete gets poured. Thanks!
