I have another thread in the help section on this, but the short answer is I just downloaded the pics to my laptop, opened them in windows photo editor (or whatever it is called) and resaved them. Didn't do anything to them otherwise and they uploaded fine after that.

Jpg works for me but some of the gifs I have tried to attach won't. I just redownload them and try again and they work. No clue why.

sometimes I've found by posting and then go to editing , the pics will then post.
I saw Ryan was testing posting pics a few days ago, perhaps he was working on it

Gifs can download with a .wepb extension, which the forum software doesn't like. They'll look the same as any other gif on your device, so if one won't post, check the file details

Just a quick update, just saw this when searching for why my pixel pics were not showing. As someone said above if you edit your pic, don't need to do anything to it except save. That jpg will have a bunch of metadata removed. E.g.gps coordinates, camera settings... I suspect the website doesn't know what to do with the extraneous data, doing that on pixel you will get a new filename that starts with "markup".

I have one picture which will upload if left untouched as my phone took it. But if I crop it and/or use Windows to remove the personal information (EXIF location data), it won't upload.

I get a message "Oops! We ran into some problems."
