testing my gas

Hi people..

I recently acquired an exhaust gas analyzer.. a friend of my dad gave it to him as payment fir something.. being the non technical kind of person he is, my dad gave it to me because he would probably never use it..

Can anyone perhaps tell me what the apt reading should be though because i never received a manual or instructions for usage with the unit as it looks at least 15 or so, years old?

A model # or brand will probably get someone who knows. Maybe search and post a link to a pic of one like it. Maybe you should just pack it up and ship it to me and I'll let you know in a couple of years how it went. That would be really helpful in tuning carbs.

Most of these units are similar. Biggest thing is to let them heat up fully and check the filters they get can get pretty gummed up. This chart is like a bible for comparing the emissions. When you get it, try to create misfires, leaks and rich conditions to get to know the unit.

Post up the make and model. Most knowledge here is for USA and European brands, but many emissions analyzers work the same way.
