I have always wanted to be a part of a network of talented men and women who were willing to share what they know! I had no idea such a forum existed. When searching for a miter saw today I stumbled upon this fabulous internet site. Wow!

The site owner has so graciously asked me to introduce myself to you, well from my perspective I am just a plain and ordinary woman who loves tools. Making things and fixing things is in my DNA. I came from a long line of tinkerers who traveled from Central Texas through West Texas into New Mexico by wagon in the early 1900's making spurs, fixing pots and pans, shoeing horses and more. Two roving blacksmiths who later went to World War I was my grandmother's brothers. My grandmother build a house in Arkansas with weighted window sashes, using only a hand saw, a brace and bit, and a hammer.

To all of you, thanks for what you have shared and what you are going to share of your heritage, abilities and knowledge.
