Hey All,
I'm new here (obviously), and I'm hoping to learn a lot, and perhaps at some point...contribute. I'm from NY (The Island), but I've lived in Marietta, GA since 1990. My wife and I are planning to move back to the North within the next couple of years. We haven't decided whether to buy land with a dwelling, or just land, but whichever route we take...we'll be doing A LOT of work on our own. Partially because it's a financially friendlier process, and partially because we enjoy doing "stuff." Our desire far outpaces our knowledge, but we both love to learn, aren't afraid to make mistakes, and are diligent workers.
Currently I am a middle school bio teacher (after a previous career in marine biology (super-fun) and environmental chemistry (super-depressing). I also play and coach ice hockey, and do a lot of nature photography. Hoping to keep doing all of that after we move. I'm 64, but I've got a lot of fight left in me. I am not ready to leave the classroom...not even close...too much fun!
So, that's me. I thank you all in advance for the wisdom I'll gain from you over time!
