Farmall: i'm guessing Kevin54 made your jaws since it sounds like he made some others for you? only asking because KMScott (Kevin) makes vise jaws too for a lot of the guys.

can you post a few more pictures of the jaws and not sure why pics get posted sideways, but would love to see GJ be able to fix that if they can because others have same issue. are you posting from an Ipad or cell phone?

Kevin54: Kudos to you for making the jaws and they look great.

Kevin54, yes!

I took the picture with my phone, emailed it to myself, and then posted. First, I tried photobucket, after spending 30 minutes trying to resize and crop, I gave up.

I'll try again tonight w/ that new service another member posted.

Damn they look good Kevin. My father in law has a old Craftsman vise that his father in law gave to him. About 20 yrs ago he was looking for new jaws for it and could not find any. Richie

Kevin54: nice work on both the jaws and fixing the pictures. how's the shop now that you have tools in your bump out and your new lift in your garage?

Farmall: i quit using photobucket even though i loved their huge clear pictures and i just click on the paperclip just above where we write our posts. see it just to the right of the fonts?

i have issues posting from my cell phone that i also take pictures with so i too email them to myself, save them to my laptop and then post them from my laptop. try one and see if that works ok. also viewer can usually click on pictures either once or twice to get full size if they need to.

Alright, I'll bite. Kevin, how are you getting the knurled finish on the jaws? I've always wonder this when looking at KMScott's pieces.

Great looking jaws, btw!

I added it as an attachment the second time, not sure why it's crooked as its right side up on my phone.

I really don't want to derail this thread and I feel like an idiot for asking, could someone please tell me how to post pictures?

The vise jaws look awesome.

I have a 90 degree cutter with the vise jaws kicked up at a 45 degree angle. The 90 degree cutter looks like this <||>

Good choice on design, I think you'll find 90 degree grooves extremely handy for general shop work with smaller round pieces.

SOP, is an angle plate or jig and a angle cutter in a vertical mill, can even use an endmill but your points won't be as sharp. They need to be offset though if you want them to mesh. Wish I still had my big shaper. Easier and cheaper but same principle of offset to mesh.

Just an update, they're still holding up great. Now granted, that is a pretty small vise that you aren't going to hang something massive in or smash on with a hammer but I still strongly recommend finding Kevin54 if you need some.
